Rhiannon is the Experiential Education Coordinator for the Career Development Office. She greatly enjoys working with her colleagues as well as SPEA students, alumni, and employers. Specializing in internships and employer relations, one of Rhiannon’s overall goals is to develop and strengthen the relationships between SPEA, its students, and their employers.
Originally from Southern California, Rhiannon received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). At CSUF, she presented research at the annual meetings for the Association of American Geographers and the California Geographic Society, as well as CSUF Geography Department’s annual conference, All Points of the Compass. Rhiannon met her husband, Nicholas, at a geography club meeting, and two years later they were hitched. Rhiannon and Nicholas moved from the west coast to Bloomington in 2009 after Nicholas was accepted to graduate school at IU.
In the near future, Rhiannon plans to earn a Master of Science degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from IU’s School of Education. After graduate school, she hopes to continue her career in the Office of Career Services, and looks forward to the possibility of becoming a Career Advisor and Instructor.
