Glenda is a Career Counselor and Instructor for the Career Development and Planning class for SPEA undergraduates. Glenda received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from the University Nevada Reno and her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. Curiously, her own career wanderings (or wonderings) occurred after she graduated from seminary; not while living in her native Nevada desert. Her career journey includes working in Emory University’s Religious Life Office and Candler School of Theology; 2 non-profits in Atlanta, GA; one year at Gustavus Adolphus College, in Minnesota and an elementary school; and a year as a chaplain in residence at a hospital in Philadelphia. Glenda has presented at the Southeastern Association of Colleges and Employers, (SACE) the Career Development Professionals of Indiana (CDPI) and the National Career Development’s Annual Conference (NCDA). She also contributed to the Campus Career Counselor magazine about her presentation on Using Cinema to Engage College Students in Early Career Decision-Making. Glenda’s next plan is to start her own rock and roll band.
