Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science
The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES) degree specifically considers the environment as a scientific entity. The BSES degree program consists of (1) general education requirements, (2) a core curriculum, designed to provide a knowledge base from a wide range of scientific disciplines, and (3) a concentration area, providing the student with a specific field of expertise. SPEA's program is unique due to the integrated nature of its approach, since problems encountered in the environmental sciences are inherently interdisciplinary. Students in the BSES degree program develop an appreciation of the integrated nature of the environmental sciences and also acquire a level of expertise in one area.
