Apply to be a Civic Leader
Make us your housing application preference
After you are admitted to IU, you’ll be invited to submit your housing application by the May priority deadline. Housing applications for 2015-16 will be available in mid-January. When you submit your housing application, make sure to include the Civic Leaders Living-Learning Center (LLC) as your top preference and complete our application that will appear in your to-do list. We’ll ask you to share how you’ll make an impact as a resident.
All first-year, civic-minded students welcome
The Civic Leaders Center is sponsored by IU’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). Students who are directly admitted to SPEA are given preferential consideration when applying. However, all incoming, first-year students interested in civic engagement are encouraged to apply, regardless of their intended major. Civic Leaders students pursue a wide range of majors, including Business, Journalism, Political Science, Economics, Law and Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, Arts Management, Policy Analysis, and Environmental Science.
Both admission to the Civic Leaders Center and scholarships are offered on a rolling basis. Apply early to ensure your application is considered for this selective community.
