Professor's new book examines interconnected systems
Professor Rafael Reuveny's research has recently been published in a new book, Democracy and Economic Openness in an Interconnected System, from Cambridge University Press. The book, co-authored with Quan Li, a professor of political science at Texas A&M University, is an international political economy manuscript that focuses on the complex, interactive effects that democratic government and economic openness have on economic development, income inequality, environmental degradation, and interstate and intrastate military violence. In the process, the authors utilize several disciplines to develop theories and empirical models that indicate a global structure of international interconnectivity.
