University, founded in 1820, has a total enrollment of
approximately 98,000 students. More than 960 Indiana University degree
programs (and 213 Purdue University degree programs) are offered on IU's
eight campuses, and IU conferred more than 18,000 degrees in 2005-2006.

About Indiana University Bloomington
Indiana University Bloomington,
the oldest and largest of the IU campuses, enrolled 29,828 undergraduate
students and 8,419 graduate/professional students in the fall of 2006. IU
Bloomington is a Doctoral/Research University-Extensive, according to the
Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching
classification, with a total of 1,891 full-time faculty and 5,147 staff.
The Bloomington campus has an outstanding Arts and Sciences core and
professional schools within a rich cultural environment in music and
the performing arts.
IU Bloomington is known around the world for its top-ranked programs,
more than 100 of which are in the top 20 of their disciplines. The Jacobs School of Music faculty
has been ranked number one in the nation four times by the deans and
faculty members of the country's music schools. The Kelley School of Business stands
as one of the country's premier business schools.
In 2001, Time magazine named IU Bloomington as College of the Year among research universities. The
2004 edition of U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best
Colleges" ranked IU Bloomington among the top five public universities for
the range of programs available to help freshmen succeed. And in ranking
Bloomington as the nation's No. 6 college sports town, Sports
Illustrated On Campus called our Recreational Sports program one of
the nation's best. Most recently, the Newsweek-Kaplan College Guide
chose IU Bloomington as its Hottest

About IUPUI
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) is an urban research and academic health sciences campus, with 22 schools and academic units which grant degrees in over 200 programs from both Indiana University and Purdue University.
IUPUI was created in 1969 as a partnership by and between Indiana and Purdue Universities, with IU as the managing partner. With over 29,000 students, IUPUI is the second-largest campus in the Indiana University state wide system. The IUPUI campus ranks among the top 15 in the country in the number of first professional degrees it confers and among the top seven in the number of health-related degrees.
IUPUI is IU's home campus for state wide programs in medicine, law, dentistry, nursing, health and rehabilitation science, and social work. IUPUI extends its program offerings through the IUPU Columbus extension.
