The GIS lab has a large inventory of digital data, including Landsat TM and
MSS imagery, USFWS National Wetlands Inventory for Indiana, SPOT, TIGER/Line,
STF3A, GCM outputs, Eastwide Forest Inventory Database, SCS digital soil maps,
USGS land use/land cover, USGS digital elevation, USGS transportation, Indiana
Gap Analysis Project datasets, as well as several more specialized databases
such as agriculture and vegetation coverages developed for specific projects.
Most of these data represent the Midwestern Great Lakes region; however, the
laboratory is expanding its collection to include coverages of the entire
coterminous United States. The staff of the GIS laboratory cooperates with
other institutions or researchers to provide access to these databases.
