As a culminating experience to a practicum placement at Eastern Greene Middle School, graduate student clinicians invited fifth graders to visit the SPHS building and IU campus. Fifth graders participated in a scavenger hunt and explored the various majors offered by IU.

Kaylah Lalonde and Apollonia Fox, 4th-year Ph.D. students in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, received Resident and Graduate Student Poster Session Awards from the American Auditory Society. They will present results from research projects in March 2013, at the Society’s annual meeting in Scottsdale, AZ.
Sofía Souto, doctoral candidate, has been awarded the New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship from the ASHFoundation. This scholarship supports students in a research/teaching doctoral program who have achieved academic excellence and who are committed to become teachers-researchers in the field of communication sciences and disorders.
