Teaching Responsibilities/Interests
I
have always been interested in American Sign Language. My focus is to
see students here at Indiana University becoming advocates to the Deaf
Community as well as being totally immersed with the language and culture.
I am specially interested in seeing how younger deaf children acquire
American Sign Language as their first language. I teach American Sign
Language Level I (A100), II (A150), and III (A200). Issues related to
grammar and culture as they pertain to ASL are covered in these classes
as well
