AssistantshipsThe Department of Kinesiology offers assistantships to graduate students. Within Biomechanics, they could be classified into three categories: (a) giving practical sports skills classes ("E" classes) to undergraduate students; (b) giving biomechanics laboratory sessions to undergraduates; (c) assisting a professor with his research. Of these three types of assistantships, "b" and "c" are the most desirable, but also the most difficult to obtain (particularly, "c").
Fellowships
Apart from the assistantships, the Department of Kinesiology also offers "fellowships". These are true scholarships which require no work on the part of the student. Fellowships are normally used as an income supplement for our very best students.
