Individual is responsible for directing and overseeing assigned sport related
operations. Serves as half-time Sports Coordinator for Parks & Recreation. Supervision
of related personnel.
Plans, implements and oversees sports related programs and activities among general
public by delivering speeches, signing brochures and flyers, writing news releases,
newspaper articles, and PSA's. Maintains accurate inventory of all sports related
equipment, materials, supplies, and requisitions as needed. Prepares and submits annual
budget request. Ensures proper preparation and maintenance of all financial records and
reports pertaining to assigned sports programs.
Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field. Experience in sport programming and
league formation. Two to three years experience in administration, developing and
implementing community-wide recreational sports programs.
