ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF INTRAMURAL SPORTS


Work Description

Individual is responsible for programming of intramural activities to include formulation of scheduling and evaluations. Develops, promotes and supervises intramural activities designed to meet agency needs.

Management Responsibilities

Assist in developing program learning activities for fieldwork and intern students. Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training student staff. Assist in budget proposal and tracking, annual reporting of participation and policy/procedure development. Assist with the advertisement of IntramuralSport Councils. Provide administrative support to the Director of Recreation. Maintain statistical data, gender equity reporting and participation data in all assigned programs. Must work professionally, independently and effectively with the members and local community.

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Certified Recreational Sport Specialist Certification (NIRSA). First Aid and CPR preferred.

Salary

$19,000-$22,000
