GOLF COURSE MANAGER


Work Description

Individual serves as Manager of Golf Course, with the responsibility for directing and overseeing all operations of the golf course, including supervision of personnel.

Management Responsibilities

Individual oversees, supervises, and coordinates the daily activities of golf course personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, an routinely evaluating employee performance. Oversees the collection of greens fees, and other related revenues, accounts for such income and deposits in proper accounts. Ensures proper preparation and maintenance of all financial records and reports. Plans, promotes, schedules, and oversees golf tournaments and other recreational golf outings. Prepares and submits annual budget requests, and administers budget.

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree in Recreational Sport Management, Sport Marketing, Physical Education or related field. Master's degree preferred. Two to three years experience in the management of a golf course. Progressive knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedure of turf management.
