OUTDOOR RECREATION PROGRAM DIRECTOR


Work Description

Responsible for the overall management and supervision of Outdoor Recreation Programs. Coordinates and facilitates outdoor recreation trips.

Management Responsibilities

Recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of hourly employees. Coordinates the use of and maintenance of Rope/Challenge Course. Timely generation of quarterly/annually reports and statistics; maintains accurate inventory of rental equipment and resource information. Preparation of annual budget requests; create and enforce policies and procedures related to the Outdoor Program. Participate in the delivery of programs and services.

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Student Personnel, or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Rope/Challenge Course experience preferred.

Required Certifications

CPR/First Aid
Wilderness First Responder and EMT Training
Ropes Challenge Course Certified

Salary

$22,000-$25,000
