POOL OPERATIONS DIRECTOR


Work Description

Individual is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Recreation Center Natatorium and Outdoor Aquatic Center.

Management Responsibilities

Management of the operations and maintenance of all aquatic spaces; including patron surveillance, water chemistry, mechanical systems and components, and pool equipment. Oversee the hiring and training of a diverse lifeguarding staff. Supervision and evaluation of student employees.

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field. One year experience managing, supervising, training, and evaluating aquatics personnel. One year experience instructing and certifying lifeguards. Three years experience as a certified pool operator at a commercial/public pool.

Required Certifications

Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
ARC Lifeguarding Instructor
CPR for the professional Rescuer Instructor
First Aid Instructor

Salary

$31,000-$33,000
