SPORT PROGRAM ASSOCIATE


Work Description

Individual serves as a coordinator of designated sport services on a year round basis with responsibility for planning, implementing and overseeing sport programs.

Management Responsibilities

Assess community recreational sports needs, current trends, and other factors which affect adult or youth sport services. Prepares and submits proposals for programs, activities and special events to adequately meet the needs of the community for sport services. Ensure proper organization and implementation of sports services by coordinating use of various department and community resources. Supervise sport services staff including supervisors, instructors, and volunteers. Recruit, train, schedule, discipline and evaluate all employees. Prepare and maintain accurate records of all financial matters and submit to appropriate person or agency as requested.

Education & Training

achelor's degree in Recreation or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Two years experience in managing, supervising, training, and evaluating staff. Two years experience in planning, implementing, and overseeing recreational sport programs.

Salary

$29,000-$32,000
