DBMS/COPY is a file utility program that translates and transfers data from over 80 different formats. For example, if you have data in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and wish to use the data in SAS, DBMS/COPY will translate the Excel spreadsheet to a SAS format while leaving the original Excel file unchanged.
DBMS/COPY allows selectivity in your choice of variables. You may have a data set with a large number of variables in SPSS format but wish to use only a smaller set in STATA. With DBMS/COPY, you can select only those variables you wish and complete the translation to the STATA format.
License Terms
- DBMS/COPY is available to all Indiana University faculty and staff.
- DBMS/COPY licenses are available for annual lease only.
- The Stat/Math Center will retain custody of the installation media but will return for reinstallation services as needed.
- Departments wishing to make volume purchases should contact the Stat/Math Center
