SPSS Sample Data

World Access

Please Note: Windows users should copy the data file (clas.dat) to the 'a' drive before running the code.
  Mac users should copy the data file (clas.dat) to their system, and change PATH in the code file (clas_mac.sps) to point to the location where the data file (clas.dat) is stored.

Local Access

There are vendor-supplied sample data files available for SPSS Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX systems. These sample files are stored in various locations.

On Windows

Sample data files are located in the SPSS application folders.

On Mac

Sample data files are located in the SPSS application folders.

On Libra systems

You type:

    cd /statapps/spss6.1/data

You then can view the files or copy them as necessary. To view a file, at the system prompt, type:

    more filename

To copy the files you want, at the system prompt, type:

    cp  filename  yourdirectoryname
