Bloomington Transportation Options for People (B-TOP)    


Description


B-TOP is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization working to bring about a more sustainable culture, better urban form and enhanced quality-of-life to people in the Bloomington area by increasing use, funding and development of alternatives to auto transport.

Some of B-TOP’s presentation series have included:



Buildings for a green community (October 28, 2008)

• Bloomington City Council Chambers, Showers Building 401 N Morton

• Neal Angrisano, Deputy Director of Facilities for Johnson County (Kansas) Facilities Management, spoke on "Buildings for a Green Community," the last speaker in B-TOP’s 2008 Livable Cities Speaker Series.



The Science of Urban Transportation: Can We Get Around More Sustainably? (February 11, 2009)

• The Science Cafe, which has been occurring at Borders monthly for over 2 years, hosted B-TOP founder, Buff Brown.

• Brown delivered a presentation entitled "The Science of Urban Transportation: Can We Get around More Sustainably?"
