Meet our new interns!
Monica Gregory, Invasive Control Intern
Monica is currently working in community development through Americorps, and will begin her graduate program in Environmental and Natural Resource Management in August 2014. She completed her undergraduate degree at IU in Anthropology, French, and Spanish. She worked in an Ecology lab under Dr. Luke Flory, apprenticed on an organic farm for a summer, and interned at WildCare Inc. for a semester. Fun fact: She lived in France for a year and has a great love of the language, the culture, and the wine!
Jessie Mroz, Outreach Intern
Jessie is a first year dual MPA-MSES Candidate in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs with concentrations in Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Management and Policy Analysis. She completed her undergraduate degree at IU in Environmental Management with a minor in Theatre and Drama. She has interned at King’s College in London doing and at the IU Center for the European Union conducting food and environmental policy research. She serves on the executive board of the Environmental Management and Sustainable Development Association and as the President of the Polish Cultural Association. Fun fact: She loves scuba diving and would like to do it all over the world!
BUWP Receives Toyota TogetherGreen Innovation Grant
The Bloomington Urban Woodlands Project is proud to announce that it is the recipient of a 2013 Audubon Toyota TogetherGreen Innovation Grant. Toyota TogetherGreen, a national conservation program of the National Audubon Society and Toyota, invests in conservation initiatives that use innovative approaches and technologies to engage new and diverse audiences in addressing pressing environmental problems.
