How can I get involved?
Join one of our restoration sessions! Currently we are working in Dunn's Woods on Indiana University's Bloomington campus, and Latimer Woods, part of the City of Bloomington's parks and trails system.
We seek volunteers to assist in growing plants in the greenhouse, transplanting seedlings into the woodlands, and removing invasive plants. We also engage in picking up litter at the sites. Restoration sessions are 1 hour long and we provide gloves and all tools and equipment.
Take a nature break and join us whenever you can! There is always beauty and peace to be found in the greenhouse and woodlands. And these opportunities are a great way to meet new people while helping to protect and restore our local green spaces!
Look below for the Project Calendar. By selecting a particular date, you can click the link to sign up and help us restore these gorgeous urban woodlands.
Thanks to our volunteers!
We are grateful for all the help over the years from student and community groups, service-learning classes, and caring individuals! Volunteers include General Motors in Bedford, Indiana University’s Volunteers in Sustainability and Biology Students for a Greener World, and Bloomington Volunteer Network.
