The 2012 Summer Workshop will offer the following languages:
- First and second year Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian
- First year Czech
- First year Georgian
- First year Hungarian
- First year Polish
- First year Romanian
- First year Yiddish
Courses in the Eastern European program offer 10 hours of undergraduate or graduate credit. The Hungarian course grants 8 hours of credit to undergraduates and 6 hours to graduates. Arabic and Yiddish courses grant 8 hours of undergraduate or 6 hours of graduate credit. Courses in these languages are equivalent to one year of academic work and meet 20 hours per week. Instruction is Monday to Friday from 9 to 12 with additional morning or afternoon conversation classes. Films and lectures are offered as part of the cultural program. Fellowships are available for graduate students on a competitive basis. Please see the Fellowships tab for more information.
Priority deadline for fellowships is March 1, 2012. Late applications will be considered after the first round of applications has been reviewed and pending availability of funds.
