Upon graduating from Decatur Central High School, Melody Culver received the President's scholarship and attended Olivet Nazarene College. Melody graduated from Olivet College with a degree in Business Administration including special emphasis in both management and marketing.

She has been employed for 20+ years at Rolls-Royce Corporation in Indianapolis working in the Financial Department. She has been married for 18 years and has 4 children. She has a daughter, who is a freshman at Decatur Central High School, and 3 sons. Her oldest son is a 6th grader at Decatur Middle School, her second son is a kindergartener at ECC and her youngest son is 16 months old.

Melody believes it is important to be active in her children's education.Parent Teacher Organizations, classroom parties, PIRFF mom (Partners in Reading for Fun - West Newton), field trips, and Decatur Central High School band functions are just a few of the many school involvement opportunities Melody has enjoyed.

Melody is also very active in her church. She is a choir member of 18+ years and she and her husband have team taught in the children's department of the church for several years. Melody believes parental involvement is very important. Melody has considered it a privilege to serve on the Decatur Leadership Team and to work with such great caring leaders.
