Kaye Gaither - First Grade teacher, Valley Mills Elementary

Kaye has been a first grade teacher for several years starting out as a Reading
Recovery specialist. She has been involved in the teacher organization and is currently the co-president of the Decatur Education Association which is the representative body for teachers in the school district. She received her Bachelors degree from Indiana Univerisity.

Both Kaye and her husband are graduates of Decatur Central High School as
are their two sons who are now at Indiana University. During her precious free time, Kaye is an avid gardener and enjoys curling up with a good book under a tree.
