Patricia A. Jones - Director of Students Services
MSD of Decatur Township

Pat has a wealth of educational experiences and has been the Director of Student Services for Decatur Township Schools since 1984. She has also been a Home School Advisor and a middle school teacher. She received her Bachelors degree from Ball State University and a Masters degree from Indiana University in Secondary Education. She is certified in Secondary Administration and Supervision and Learning Disabilities.

She has developed and implemented several district programs including the Parent Human Relations Retreat, Student Leadership Program, Communication Connection, Pre-First Grade Program, and Family Math. Professional affiliations include the American Association for School Administrators, National Committee for School Desegregation, and Phi Delta Kappa. Community involvement includes the Coalition of 100 Black Women, Circle City Chapter Links, Inc., Divinity Customer Service, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, University Methodist Women and co-chair of Beautillion Militaire to honor outstanding African-American Junior and Senior males.

Pat has been a nominee for the YWCA Educator Award. She has presented several workshops on human relations for both adults and youths at conferences and for various service organizations. Pat and her husband, Doug, have two grown children. Pat lives by the motto, "While the risk of action is always apparent, the risk and cost of inaction may be even more damaging."
