Gary G. Pellico - Project Director, Challenger Learning Center
Leadership Team, Work Knowledge Coordinator


Gary has been an educator in the Indianapolis area for 32 years and has held both teaching and administrative positions. He has worked in the Indianapolis Public Schools for several years before coming to Decatur Township in 1993. He has served as an elementary principal for over 15 years in three different schools.

Some of his other administrative experiences include director of planning and special education coordinator. He helped develop the Select Schools Plan for the Indianapolis Public Schools. He has masters degrees from Butler University in administration and special education. He has currently headed the project to bring the Challenger Learning Center, which opened this spring, to Decatur Township.
