Joseph Preda - Principal, DCHS
Leadership Team Member

Joe has been an educator for 25 years with a depth of experience in secondary
education. He has been an English teacher, guidance counselor, dean of students, and assistant principal and is currently the principal of Decatur Central High School. In addition, Joe has been a varsity basketball, football, and baseball coach. He has been the co-chair of the Baldridge Leadership Evaluation Team.

In Decatur Township, he has been part of the Growth for Education Committee and the Systemic Change Leadership Team. Joe has been a member of the Marion County, Indiana, and National Coaches Association and was the "The Columbus Republic" Baseball Coach of the Year for 1994. Joe's counseling and coaching background makes him a particularly focused principal who can bring a school together as a team to accomplish great things.
