Intermediate T'ai Chi Ch'uan

Course Description
The Intermediate class examines the everyday practice of T'ai Chi Ch'uan
and students will learn the second section of William C.C.Chen's Yang
Style T'ai Chi Ch'uan Solo Form. Students will also be introduced to Da
Lu, Form Applications and Push-Hands.
Grades and Evaluation
Grades will be determined by in-class performance, paper, midterm and
final exam (both written and performance skills). The written paper is
required in order to pass this class.
- Skills portion of mid-term exam 40%
- Skills portion of final exam 40%
- In-class performance 20%
Attendance
Attendance will be a factor in determining grades only when more than
3 classes are missed. Upon a fourth absence, the student has three options:
- Receive a grade of F
- Officially withdraw from the course
- Follow an appeal procedure through:
1st, the instructor
2nd, the Martial Arts Coordinator
3rd, the Director of the Basic Instruction Program.
