    Course Objectives

    Course Objectives
    E148 T'ai Chi Ch'uan provides students an introduction to the soft, slow movements of T'ai Chi Ch'uan, one of the most popular forms of exercise in China today. In E148 students will learn:

       
    • The first section of William C.C. Chen's 60 movement Yang Style T'ai Chi Ch'uan Solo Form
    • The basics of moving meditation
    • The basic physics of body leverage
    • The history, philosophy, and cultural context of T'ai Chi Ch'uan


    On successful completion of E148, students will be able to demonstrate their grasp of E148 course material by performance of the first section of William C.C. Chen's 60 movement Yang Style T'ai Chi Ch'uan Solo Form.
