Syllabus


Week 1: Jan 12-15, 2004

Introduction, hand out information sheets and syllabus, introduce William C.C. Chen's Yang Style T'ai Chi Ch'uan solo form and practice the posture: Preparation.

Week 2: Jan 19- 22, 2004
Regular instruction protocol begins; movements will be reviewed from the previous class and new movements introduced: Preparation, Beginning, Ward off with Left Hand, and Ward Off With Right Hand, Roll Away, Press and Push

Jan 19: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (no classes)

Week 3: Jan 26-29, 2004
Form review and practice. Reading: What is T'ai Chi Ch'uan

Week 4: Feb 2-5, 2004
Form review and practice. Reading: Characteristics. 

Week 5: Feb 9-12, 2004
Form review and practice. Reading: The Development of T'ai Chi Ch'uan

Week 6: Feb 16-19, 2004
Form review and practice. Reading: William C.C. Chen's 60 Movements

Week 7: Feb 23-26, 2004
