大家好! 這裡有中文老師的工作 (時薪: $11) Discipline Mentors at Indiana University Chinese Flagship Center The IU Chinese Flagship is an intensive program for students planning for professional careers in business, law, policy, academia, and other fields to cultivate the superior Mandarin language skills, knowledge, experience, and leadership qualities that will facilitate long-term professional success. The Chinese Flagship Center is currently seeking discipline mentors for advanced students. Discipline mentors are highly motivated and skilled native Mandarin speakers who work one-on-one with students in weekly tutoring sessions designed to cultivate the Chinese linguistic and cultural knowledge necessary for students to perform in their various fields of study (biology, business, music, etc.). Job Description: Meet with one or two Flagship students for two 75-minute sessions and spend an additional 30 minutes in preparation per week per student (a total of 3 hours per week for each student). Conduct sessions entirely in Chinese and offer language and content assistance to assigned students. Assist students in locating Chinese language articles relating to their academic disciplines. Discuss selected articles and practice Chinese language needs. Maintain a weekly log of students’ performance including pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Assist students with the creation of a spreadsheet of discipline-related vocabulary terms. IU Chinese Flagship Center will provide a mentor orientation a few days before the start of each semester. Qualifications: Discipline mentors are expected to: Be native Chinese speakers OR close to native level Be currently enrolled at IU–Bloomington as a graduate student (undergraduate seniors may also be considered) OR have completed at least a Master’s degree Have Chinese tutoring experience (at least one semester) Be committed to tutor for at least one semester Be punctual and maintain a relatively fixed schedule throughout the semester Hold tutorial sessions in an academic space Notify the Chinese Flagship Center whenever there is a change in the tutorial schedule or location or whenever experiencing any problems with assigned students Discipline mentors receive $11 per hour for 3 to 6 hours each week depending on the number of assigned students. This hourly position is contingent upon discipline mentor’s performance, availability of funds, and the needs of the Chinese Flagship Center.
