How to Contact Me

The best way: Send me e-mail. This method does not reveal my e-mail address and creates a subject prefix that I will notice in my inbox.

Be sure to include a subject in English that clearly describes your message.

Since my e-mail address has been harvested from the Web by spammers, I receive a lot of junk mail. Also, due to viruses and worms that are sent through e-mail, I cannot afford to open messages that do not look legitimate, or with subjects not in English.

I do not read e-mail messages that appear suspicious by their titles or subjects, particularly if from a sender I do not recognize. Sometimes legitimate requests get deleted. If I am in doubt about an e-mail, I delete it without ever reading it.

I do not read e-mail messages I never receive. I subscribe to a spam filter service provided through Indiana University, which quarantines mail that is likely to be junk. My e-mail client has also learned to filter messages identified as spam.

If I do not respond to a legitimate e-mail request in a few days, please try calling the IST Department, 812.856.8450, and leave a message with one of our secretaries. They will get your message to me.

Office hours: By appointment
