T283 Final Project
Overview
The T283 final project provides a chance for you to create your own piece that demonstrates your mastery of the craft and teaches you what it's like to work in a team. This is an opportunity for you to create a piece for your demo reel, which may be seen by future employers or internship providers.
The content and subject matter is limited only by your imagination and technical limitations. In the past students have successfully produced documentaries, features, original "mini movies", talk shows, game shows, comedies, mockumentaries & music videos. The strongest projects have been serious informational videos, feature stories and original fiction, while the weakest have been attempts at comedy. These usually end up in the "it sounded like a funny idea at the time" category.
Technically, you have access to Studio 5, field equipment and the production lab. Your project can be produced in the studio, in the field or a combination of the two. If you choose to produce a project in Studio 5, you must do so during your own regularly scheduled lab time. Your group will also be responsible for assembling your own production crew.
More information on the final project can be found on pages 62 and 63 of your T283 soft-covered workbook, along with the evaluation criteria used to grade your final project.
