T351 Multimedia Movie
Spring 2008
- 10 points
- Due: Thursday, June
5
The goal is to make two versions of any of your
projects: One will be posted to YouTube and the other saved onto a folder
on TCNetScratch. These videos should be viewable on either a Mac or a
PC. My teaching objective is that you learn to output your video into
a specific format (Codec), with the necessary pixel dimensions, in the
highest quality possible, and so that it displays with the proper aspect
ratio.
In order to make the YouTube version, you should create an account if
you don't have one already. You'll find "how to" areas, wihch specify
how to upload videos, acceptable files types and file size limits. Once
you post it, please send an email with the URL linking to the page.
For the TC Net Scratch version, please place an H.264 version that is
no larger than 100MB, saved as your login
name. The vildeo should display
(Unsqueezed) in the proper aspect ratio.
Tips:
To make the movies: Open up & select
your sequence in FCP. Make sure all of your video is fully rendered.
Be sure to set an "in point" in black before it fades up at the
beginning and an "out point" after it fades to black
at the end.
QuickTime movie - Select file -> export
-> "using quicktime conversion" from the menu. Press the
"options" button. Use H.264 as your
codec for the QuickTime movie.
Make a custom size using
either 320 x 240 pixels for a 4x3 video (or try something like 427
x 240 pixels for a 16x9 video).
Be sure to test it before uploading or turning into TC NetScratch.
