Graduate Program Funding
Current information about educational costs and financial support
for graduate students at Indiana University is available from the
Office
of Student Financial Assistance Web.
In the Department of Telecommunications, successful applicants to
the PhD program may expect guaranteed funding support as a Student
Academic Appointee for three years. This will cover the costs of
tuition as well as pay a stipend for living costs. Typical positions
include Associate Instructor or Research Assistant.
Applicants to MS and MA programs may receive up to two years of guaranteed
funding support as a Student Academic Appointee. The decision is
based on merit and available department resources.
Students who do not receive the above funding guarantees may occasionally
receive support as Student Academic Appointees, as hourly employees,
or through departmental or university fellowships, as needs and resources
dictate. Such funding cannot be guaranteed.
For additional information about funding and fellowships, please
visit the University
Graduate School website.
