Biography:
I came to IU in 2002 and received a master’s degree in telecommunications. My research interests are in telecommunications law and policy in comparative and transnational contexts. More specifically, I am interested in how technology relates to politico-economic factors shaping U.S. telecommunications law and policy and, in turn, how the resulting laws and policies affect global telecommunications policymaking and regulatory environments. My master’s thesis examines long-standing international conflicts with respect to trade issues in telecommunications. Currently, my research focuses on media ownership and copyright issues. I am now working on my dissertation, which considers the issue of government mandated adoption of technological content protection measures for digital broadcasts.
