Biography:
Matthew received his BSC in Telecommunications from Ohio University in 2005. After majoring in Audio Production, he went to work in the music industry for a year before returning to Ohio University to earn an MA in Telecommunications in 2007. Focused on Media Management, he used this opportunity to found Falk Music LTD, an independent record label. While taking master’s courses, he became interested in the theory and research going on related to Synthetic or Virtual Worlds and is now at Indiana University to pursue a PhD in Telecommunications with research interests focused on that subject. Outside of academia, Matthew enjoys working with musical artists (recording and producing), listening to all types of music, going to concerts, and is an avid gamer.
