Biography:
In May 2008 I graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art + Design (MIAD) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Animation, minor in Art History. Focusing on process and message, my work aims to push media limits. In addition, I strive to explore new and non-traditional methods of teaching through my discipline. My influences develop based on: media experimentations, observing my environments and the people within, non-traditional formats of storytelling (including bookarts), and studying nature’s motion. Research topics to which I am currently engaged in, include: the creative process of mediated messages, manufactured authenticity, the media industry and its workers, and how an artist processes information in order to create art. As a professional artist I will utilize my talents to document and aid in delivering the messages/stories of others. As an educator I hope to provide upcoming generations with inspiration to express themselves through various art forms. Looking to the future, I plan to pursue a Master of Fine Arts degree (MFA), establish myself as a studio arts professor, and continue working as a freelance multimedia and gallery artist.

I love baking, cooking, participating in sporting activities and events, and the final days of summer (the light is always perfect that time of year).
