Biography:
I started the PhD program at IU in the fall of 2007, after finishing my Masters degree in Digital Storytelling at Ball State University. Previous to that, I had spent 15 years in the software development industry. I came to Indiana to study computer mediated communication. My research interests are in trust in mediated environments including virtual worlds, mobile networks and augmented reality. I am highly involved in the Second Life research community, managing the SL Researchers mailing list and presenting at several conferences including NCA and AoIR. I have published on web 2.0, Second Life, graphic novels and technical books. I have a wonderful son and spend my free time playing Wii games, guitar and walking.
