Biography:

I am a third-year dual Ph.D. student in Telecommunications and Cognitive Science. I received my B.A. in Electronic Media and Communications in 2007 and my M.A. in Mass Communications in 2009 from Texas Tech University. I have worked as a videographer, a web designer, and a motion graphics artist. At IU, I work in the Institute for Communication Research using psychophysiological and self-report measures to examine the cognitive processing of mediated messages.

I have presented at conferences such as the annual meetings of: the International Communication Association, the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, and the Society of Psychophysiological Researchers. My work has been published in the Journal of Sports Media, Mass Communication and Society and other communication journals.

I am an avid cyclist and fly-fisherman. I spend my free time with my wife and two dogs.
