Biography:
Jacklyn Farris graduated with honors from the University at Buffalo in 2006, receiving a BS in Psychology and a BA in Film Studies. Before coming to Indiana University to study Media Psychology, she worked as Project Director for the Buffalo Youth Media Institute and as a Senior Research Analyst at the Research Institute on Addictions. Her research interests include investigating how mediated lifestyles change social relations as well as the psychosocial uses and effects of media on identity construction among adolescents and young adults. Currently her focus is on the ways that people use media (specifically the internet) to fulfill emotional needs.

In her spare time, she can be found making all sorts of crafts, listening to music and laughing way too loudly.
