Biography:
Katie completed her B.A. in Communication and Classical Studies as a member of the Media Fellows program at DePauw University, where she spent seven semesters as a morning show co-host and a semester as news director of WGRE Radio. Her research at DePauw centered around the interactions between advertisers, broadcast networks, and the Nielsen ratings, as well as ancient Roman political propaganda. Katie also spent four months of her undergraduate experience interning for Threeview GmbH Media Agency in Munich, Germany. Katie's current research interests are focused on television fan culture, interactivity, and participation in online environments in addition to the relationships between television networks and fans.
