Biography:
Laura Speers is currently pursuing an MA at Indiana University in the department of Telecommunications. Laura received first class honours for her undergraduate degree in Philosophy at Newcastle University, England. Her current research involves studying media life, interaction culture and subcultures. In particular, she is interested in how subcultures are constructed produced and how they perform their identity through symbolic representation in digital media. Outside of school, Laura loves music, film and experiencing different cultures across the globe.
