Biography:

I grew up in Spencer, Indiana. In 2001, I received my Bachelors in Theatre with a creative writing minor from Indiana State University. I am a Meisner trained actor and have been directing for eighteen years. In 2002, my full-length play, Ankhenaten & Nefertiti, earned me a scholarship to attend the W. B. Yeats International Summer School. In 2005, I founded Monroe County Civic Theater's Dinner Theater Series. In 2007, I was awarded the Basile Playwriting Fellowship through the Indiana Theatre Association for my ten-minute play The Clockwork Man and my play Silent Cinema won the Artsweek Playwriting Competition. Also in 2007, I co-founded the Laura Shiner Studio Series playwriting workshop and annual BloomingPlays Festival at the Bloomington Playwrights Project. In 2008, I founded Starrynight Productions and was the Literary Manager of the Bloomington Playwrights Project. In 2009, I directed the feature length film The Babbling Banshee, which is currently in post-production. In 2010, I was the Co-Executive Producer and Acting Coach on Chris Eller's An Ancient Pond. Also in 2010, I was hired by Communications Disorders Technology to direct and produce two commercials for the National Hearing Test and I co-founded the Script Development Series and Indiana New Play Festival. I was also a member-at-large on the board of the Monroe County Civic Theater from 2005 to 2010 and I am currently the Artistic Director of Starrynight Productions.

I am currently seeking a Master of Science in Telecommunications with an emphasis on TV/Film Production and I am interested in 3D Production.
