Biography:

Originally from Indianapolis, I moved to Bloomington in 2004 to attend Indiana University. After switching majors from Spanish to international studies and then to communication and culture, I discovered telecommunications. I received a B.A. in 2008. Along the way I also earned a certificate from the Liberal Arts and Management Program, and completed minors in Spanish and Portuguese.

My haphazard journey into telecommunications led me to discover and develop my passion for the media industry. I am now pursuing an M.S. in telecommunications focusing on media management; that is, managing the production of film and television. I am fascinated by today's media-saturated world and the influence media has on individuals and society. As a media producer, I can be part of a team whose work can have a significant impact on what and how people think.

I also like to travel. My fascination with foreign languages and cultures has taken me to Costa Rica and Spain, and pure curiosity took me to New Zealand, where I interned for an artist management agency and a political and current affairs program. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring Bloomington, delving through YouTube, watching TV programs and films, listening to music, and playing piano.
