Theatre Circle

For over 75 years the Indiana University Department of Theatre and Drama has provided one of the nation’s premier theatre programs. Its students have gone on to become some of the finest theatre artists, scholars, and teachers in the world. The lives of thousands of others have been illumined and enriched by the study and practice of theatre at IU.

Theatre Circle was founded in 1978 to promote and encourage the study and practice of theatre arts in the IU Department of Theatre and Drama and to promote an awareness of theatre throughout the community and public at large.

Theatre Circle members enjoy a variety of benefits, including:

Associate Producer

$2500/year

Benefits noted at the $1000 level PLUS:

  • Announcement honoring your gift prior to each performance of a production you select.
  • Six complimentary tickets to a production you select.
  • Your choice of a 2nd Friday night Theatre Circle dinner for eight or an opening night pre-show and intermission reception.
  • Opportunity to attend one dress rehearsal to be selected in consultation with the Department Chair or the Director.

Benefactor

$1000/year

Benefits noted at the $500 level PLUS:

  • Annual Lunch with the Department Chair and selected faculty and or/students.
  • Reserved seating for up to six individuals at the annual Ralph L. Collins Memorial Lecture. (Example: Eve Ensler April 2013)
  • Two complimentary one-time use parking passes (valid after 5pm/weekdays — upper deck Jordan lot)

Patron

$500/year

Benefits noted at the $250 level PLUS:

  • Reserved seating to special events, guest artist lectures and other programs
  • Two free tickets to Premiere Musical (a new musical workshop performance held each year in August)

  • Two free guest passes to a show of your choice to introduce the magic of theatre to friends and family

Annual memorial gifts may be made at all levels. A memorial gift in perpetuity may be made at the $1,000.00 level. Payroll deduction is available to IU employees. Call (812) 855-5948.
