Dear Theatre and Drama Student:

On behalf of the entire faculty and staff we extend our welcome to all as we begin the 2008- 2009 academic year.  The Department has a long legacy of exceptional students who have graced our stages, learned in our classrooms, and worked in our design studios. 

As a student of theatre and drama you are joining an accomplished team of artists and scholars who are committed to creating, researching, and teaching exciting theatre and drama.  The network of active IU graduates in professional and academic theatre is extensive, and the opportunity to be part of that network starts now during your time as a member of the Department.

This resource, both for the new and returning student, serves as a resource for you.  It has information that we feel will help you negotiate some of the day to day challenges of being a Theatre and Drama student whether you are a major, minor, IMP student, or just a curious student taking classes in the Department.

We encourage you to become involved in the many activities of the Department; this is an essential way to challenge yourself and discover new insights as part of your undergraduate education and experience.

We all look forward to seeing you and working with you in the classroom, studio, and onstage.
