In 2003, Marc Singer revisited his undergraduate stomping grounds. During his stay he conducted a masterclass/workshop for one Shakespearean acting class, offered expert advice on Shakespeare scenes for a directing class, and delivered a lecture, From Proust to Pavlov: What a Professional Actor Thinks, which was open to the public. Marc also visited directing classes and rehearsals for the Ruth N. Halls Theatre production of Romeo and Juliet.
Marc Singer studied theatre at IU Bloomington from 1965 to 1967 and went on to become a star of the stage and screen. His film and television credits include Beastmaster, V, Dallas, and Murder, She Wrote. However, Singer has also been an acclaimed stage actor performing in many Shakespeare productions with the A.C.T., The San Diego National Shakespeare Festival, and The Seattle Repertory Theatre. He won the Los Angeles Critics Circle Award for his portrayal of Petruchio in the A.C.T. production of Taming of the Shrew.
