Fontaine Syer

Fontaine Syer has worked as an actor and director in regional theatres for nearly 30 years, most recently as Artistic Director of the Delaware Theatre Company in Wilmington. She also served as Associate Artistic Director of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and was co-founder and Artistic Director of Theatre Project Company in St. Louis.

Some of her favorite roles have included Margaret in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Lady in Orpheus Descending, Claire in A Delicate Balance, The Countess in The Rehearsal, Barbara in Three Hotels, and Joan in The Year of Magical Thinking (which Fontaine performed at Indiana Repertory Theatre and Repertory Theatre of St. Louis in 2010). She most recently appeared on IU Theatre’s stage as Lily in Ah, Wilderness! and the Queen in Comedy of Errors for the Indiana Festival Theatre. 

Fontaine received her M.F.A. at the University of Delaware in 2003.
