Before joining TLTC, Elisabeth (Ellie) served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, where she worked on garden and well projects in a rural, semi-nomadic village. She holds a self-designed Interdisciplinary B.A. in Narrative, Imagination, and the Cultural Construction of Reality from Beloit College.

Kate Ellis supports faculty, instructors, and staff with technology-enhanced active learning strategies. She is an active member of the international Sakai open-source community and supports Oncourse CL, the IU implementation of Sakai. Her areas of interest include blended learning environments, new media, and Web 2.0 technologies. She received a Master of Fine Arts in graphic design and new media from the School of Fine Arts Indiana University Bloomington in 2002 (terminal degree), and a BFA in Fine Arts from IUB in 1977.

Madeleine Gonin

Madeleine was born and raised in South Africa and came to IU in 1994 for her undergraduate studies. She started working at TLTC in 1998 and has worked on several large multimedia projects, including foreign language projects. She also serves as the campus Turnitin.com administrator and coordinates plagiarism prevention workshops.

As Director of Faculty and Academic Services in UITS, David oversees IT Training and the centers for teaching and learning; he also chairs committees on functional requirements and support and implementation for IU’s collaboration and learning system, Oncourse.

Gabe Grabarek

Gabe is currently a PhD student in Classics who is writing his dissertation. Studying such ancient material, he says it's quite nice to be integrated into all the technologies at the TLTC.

Roger Henry

Roger Henry is a member of IU’s functional requirements committee and the open source online training materials committee, and also coordinates Oncourse CL support for faculty at the Kelley School of Business. He holds a Masters degree in Choral Conducting from the IU Jacobs School of Music.

Dan earned his Bachelors’ in Anthropology and recently graduated with Masters in Library and Information Science from Indiana University. There he specialized in User Interface Design and Complex Information Structures. He enjoys working to make technologies more friendly and intuitive for the end user.

Margaret Ricci

Margaret (Maggie) Ricci came to the TLTC from the IU Knowledge Base where she worked primarily on Oncourse and ePortfolio documentation. Her background ranges from computer programming in stable isotopes to grant administration to online curriculum development to teaching in both traditional and online settings. She is a member of the Sakai End User Support group, the Oncourse Support and Implementation team, and the Oncourse Functional Requirements committee.

Maggie's philosophy is simple: New technologies give us a lot of new tools. Let's figure out which ones will help us get our jobs done and use them to our advantage. When it comes to teaching, we can't afford to mess this up.

Carol Reynolds

Carol was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Indiana in 1967. She started working at IU in 1985 as clerical staff with the IU Motor Pool Department. She later secured a position in the Communications Department, and in 1989 transferred to a position in the School of Music as Senior Financial Assistant under Dean Charles Webb. She has been at the TRC since 2000.

Carol says, "The TRC is a user-friendly self-help environment for faculty and AIs to come and prepare or fine tune their teaching techniques for the day or week. My job is to assist when help is needed, keep the supplies available for the equipment, and make everyone welcome."

Cordah Robinson has worked for UITS since 1991 and has worked for TLTC since 1995. She specializes in working with faculty to integrate technologies into teaching and learning.

Justin Whiting

Justin is a 2nd year Master's student in Instructional Systems Technology. His research interests include blended and distance learning, and specifically, the role technology plays in helping people learn in a variety of settings (K-12, Higher Ed, Corporate). He received his B.A. in Organizational Communications with a minor in Information Systems from BYU-Idaho. Before coming to Indiana he worked as a Sr. Corporate Trainer for Qwest Communications for 4 years.

Upon graduation from the University of Pittsburgh, Joe worked as an online instructor for a large corporation in Osaka, Japan. He moved to Bloomington, IN as a graduate student. He is now a graduate assistant at the TLTC, and is working towards his M.S. degree in Instructional Systems Technology here at Indiana University.
